1.Who can use Storyhaven

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age to use online services where you live if that is higher. Novels marked 19+ are only for adults, and you must confirm you are an adult before turning them on.

If you use Storyhaven on behalf of someone else, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for them.

2.Your account

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. Tell us if you think someone else has used it. One person may hold one account; extra accounts made to get around limits, bans or bonuses may be closed.

3.Reading and unlocking

The first chapters of each novel are free. Premium chapters are unlocked with coins, at the price shown before you confirm. An unlocked chapter stays available on your account for as long as the novel is on Storyhaven.

Unlocking gives you a personal right to read the chapter on Storyhaven. It doesn't give you any right to copy, share, sell or republish it.

4.Coins

Coins are a license to unlock content on Storyhaven, not money. They have no cash value, can't be transferred, sold or exchanged, and don't expire. Purchases are final as described in the refund policy.

• Bonus coins from packs, invites or staff are given at our discretion and may be removed if they were obtained by mistake or by breaking these terms.
• If a payment is reversed or charged back, we may remove the coins it bought and the chapters they unlocked, and suspend the account.

5.Invites

Invite bonuses are paid after the invited reader's first purchase, up to the limits shown on the invite page. Inviting your own accounts, trading codes or any other way of farming bonuses breaks these terms. We may withhold or remove bonuses and close accounts involved.

6.What you post

Comments, requests, reports and anything else you post must follow the content policy. You keep the rights to what you write, and you let us show it on Storyhaven and use it to run the site.

We may remove anything that breaks the rules and restrict or close accounts that do so repeatedly.

7.Translators

Translators publish under the separate terms they accept when they are approved. They must hold the rights, or the rights holder's permission, for everything they publish, and they are responsible for their translations. Revenue shares and payouts work as described in the Studio.

8.Copyright

We respect copyright and expect you to. Rights holders can report infringing material through our DMCA page. Accounts that repeatedly infringe will be closed.

9.Things you must not do

• Copy, scrape, download in bulk or republish chapters, or help others do so.
• Share your account, or unlock content for resale.
• Get around paywalls, limits, bans or 19+ settings.
• Interfere with the site, its security or other readers' use of it.
• Use Storyhaven for anything illegal.

10.Changes and availability

We work to keep Storyhaven running, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. Novels can be added, changed or removed, including when a translator stops or a license ends. We may change these terms; when the change matters, we'll tell you on the site before it takes effect, and continuing to use Storyhaven means you accept the new terms.

11.Ending your use

You can stop using Storyhaven at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. When an account is closed, unused coins are lost, except where the law says otherwise.

12.Liability

Storyhaven is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
