↳ SSS-Rank Gear Chaser: Hard to say when anyone'll show up, though. Could be nobody comes until the end-of-year gacha season.
"That said, waiting months on end isn't exactly ideal either…"
Either way, these people live in extremes.

Title: What do you think the veteran nicks will say when they come back and see the newbie?
Author: Anon (418F)
By the time the newbie clears floor 100 and parks up, at least one of them should be logging back in—kinda dying to see their reaction lol
There was that one veteran nick back in the day who climbed 7 floors in a year.
That guy single-handedly filled three pages of the Gallery at the time.
One look at the newbie's climbing speed and it's an instant normie-cut, no? lmao
[Comments]
Anon (312F): You talking about Blood Demon Sword Sovereign⟨?⟩ Total normie tbh, newbie hit floor 60 in 4 days lol
Anon (505F): 7 floors a year was genuinely off-the-charts talent by Demon King Tower standards, historically speaking.
↳ Anon (148F): Yeah but the newbie just blew way past that line.
↳ Anon (277F): Simple math much—that guy started in the 700s.
↳ Anon (461F): Go eat more Gallery rice before you post, dumbass, he's just goofing around and brainrotting.
______
*7 floors in a year.*
In a tower where clearing a single floor typically takes years, pushing through 7 in one year would be the stuff of legend.
By contrast, my clearing floor 60 isn't really that impressive.
The hypothesis that monsters below floor 100 are weak had been all but confirmed.
And at the same time, that's precisely what makes the situation dangerous.
It means invaders who enter the tower can climb it just as easily.
But I'm already pretty far from floor 1 now, and I can't afford to push recklessly and die in some random corner just because of heroes who might not even show up anytime soon.
I have painful firsthand experience of clearing 25 floors in a single day and then being completely wrecked for three days straight.
I've got one Fatigue Recovery Potion left, so I could push up to floor 84… but there's no need to burn it and sprint right now.
The longer I wait, the more value I squeeze out of that potion.
The next Golden Carriage is a month away anyway.
I relaxed and clicked on the next post.

Title: Holy shit newbie you actually WERE in danger lmaooo
Author: Anon (351F)
You were climbing so smoothly I figured the early mobs were trash like Floor-574 Anon said.
But I just read the newbie's floor 2–60 retrospective and it was way more of a spectacle than I expected…
Fatigue screwing you over, long-range sniping, status effects;;
Basically felt like an HP-1 run???;;;;;;;
[Comments]
Anon (418F): The fact that you had to dodge attacks or phase through them with teleport is itself the problem. Little bit of bad luck and you could've just died right there.
Anon (312F): Fr that's insane. Your defense is garbage right now and you've got no magic shield, so one clean hit = instant death. You're actually unhinged.
Anon (341F): Newbie please for the love of god play it safe… my heart can't take this;;
Fenrir: I've lost count of how many times I've said this but I really wish you'd just train properly.
↳ Anon (123F): Normies are loving this lol
↳ Anon (431F): The 100-floor bro dropping some wisdom damn
↳ Anon (561F): And as always, a '1' was said to be in the leading digit.
↳ Anon (311F): A Fenrir mention KYAAAAAAA!!!!
______
The thread was packed with worried posts.
The general message: slow down on the floor climbing.
Anon (60F): Got it. Taking a break from climbing.
↳ Fenrir: How long of a break. Not asking for a year.
↳ Anon (60F): About eight hours?
↳ Fenrir: ?
↳ Anon (358F): Excuse me?
↳ Anon (351F) (OP): lmaooooooooooooo
And the next post.

Title: So when is the newbie actually gonna learn Black Magic?
Author: Anon (180F)
Genuinely no idea.
The fact that she thinks she's never been in a real life-threatening crisis and so the timing to go to the Death God Realm just hasn't come up—I can't even wrap my head around it lmaooooooo
Like if it were me, I'd have bolted to the Death God Realm the second I saw a skeleton with a bow.
Can't she just go to the Death God Realm, learn the instant-kill skill, and quietly pick up Black Magic?
Does she have to use it as an invincibility move?
It's not like dying once cuts your Death God Realm stay in half…
[Comments]
Anon (505F): There exists a person who can't awaken because the crisis never comes?!
↳ Anon (351F): lmaooooooooooooooooo
↳ Anon (180F): Never coming. Ever.
↳ Anon (431F): Nah knowing the newbie's personality she won't slow down even at floor 100.
↳ Fenrir: Fr that's exactly it, I said so. People like the newbie are destined to die eventually. I hate the coddling atmosphere here too, honestly.
______
Just like this post said, the situation had gotten genuinely awkward.
I'd assumed that by this point some kind of crisis would naturally arise, and my plan was to use Death's Edge Invincibility to tank the hit, fire off the instant-kill skill, clear the floor, and then learn Black Magic.
*But the timing still hasn't come.*
Would a crisis even show up in the remaining 40 floors?
Maybe I'd just steamroll through them comfortably on the stat-scaling power of my growth-type equipment.
I couldn't help but think that.
And honestly, for good reason—most of the stats I'd been putting points into while climbing were Intelligence, Magic Power, and Perception.
"And yet… 59 wins in a row…"
I hadn't even invested in Strength or Agility, and I was still racking up consecutive victories in close-quarters combat. Of course my confidence was growing.
The math was starting to suggest that clearing floor 100 would be more comfortable than I'd expected.
"Alright. Decision made."
In this Demon Army Gallery that had supposedly never once witnessed a hero—back when the lowest-floor user was in the early 100s.
Once I reached that safe zone, I'd start training in earnest.
"I'll learn the instant-kill skill after clearing floor 100."
I typed it out casually.
↳ Anon (60F): A month is overkill—gonna rest today and starting tomorrow, just one floor a day.
↳ Anon (312F): ;;;;;
↳ Anon (148F): The fact that we managed to squeeze "one floor a day" out of this person is honestly impressive on our part.
↳ Anon (741F): Yeah yeah, just lie down and stay there please…
That was enough for today anyway.
I'd gotten the Unique item I was aiming for, and I'd stocked up on daily necessities from the Golden Carriage.
"Time to set up camp."
I stood up and rolled my shoulders.
I opened the holographic inventory and dumped everything I'd bought from the [Soldier's PX] onto the marble floor in one big cascade.
A folding chair.
A portable table.
A one-touch mini tent.
And food, along with various everyday supplies.
I set up all the big items first, then unfolded the chair last.
"Phew."
Doing all this, it genuinely felt like I'd wandered into a campsite.
I'd probably accumulate a lot more furniture later.
"I'd love it if something like a bed showed up."
For now, I didn't even have a sleeping bag.
I set up the camp stove on the table and placed a pot on top.
Poured in some water, brought it to a boil, then shook two packets of instant coffee mix into a paper cup.
Then I added fresh water and tossed in a sausage and a pack of frozen fried rice to heat up.
"God, I wish I had a microwave."
I'd need a generator before that, though.
If I kept getting stronger, maybe someday I'd be able to crank a handle by hand and generate enough electricity to power a small station.
Assuming that kind of thing ever showed up in the Golden Carriage, that is.
"Probably won't get a gaming console though…"
I let my mind wander through various scenarios.
Looking at the photos people posted of their decorated floors in the Gallery, it seemed like you really could build your own little villa as you climbed the tower.
Anon (60F): Wow, pretty. I hope I get something like a wooden table later.
↳ Anon (431F): Tower decorating arc begins lmaooo
↳ Fenrir: Yeah, take it slow and actually live like a person.
↳ Anon (244F): live like a person (not a person)
Clink, clink.
In the hollow of floor 60 of the Demon King Tower, the smell of food and the aroma of coffee began to fill the air.
Setup complete.
"Let's eat."
But first.
I sat in the folding chair with the tent as a backdrop, and took a photo of the food bubbling away.
Then I uploaded it straight to the Gallery.

Title: Floor 60 base camp, rate it?

{A silver-haired, blue-eyed girl sitting in a chair with a tent behind her, holding a steaming cup of coffee}
Camping at floor 60 for now.
[Comments]
Fenrir: Good. Rest up properly. Looks nice.
Anon (505F): lmaooo wasn't that the exact spot where gargoyle heads were rolling around like five minutes ago
↳ Anon (341F): Certified psychopath. Demon Army talent right there.
One Who Savors a Cup of Black Tea: Coffee,,! I'm jealous.^^
↳ Makanong: What's coffee…?
↳ One Who Savors a Cup of Black Tea: That's something little ones aren't allowed to have,,,^^
Anon (415F): Sounds like your first PX drop was pretty good—I slept on bare ground for two months when I first started.
↳ Anon (60F) (OP): No sleeping bag so probably similar. Planning to use a snack bag as a pillow.
↳ Anon (431F): Planning to sleep on a pillow of crushed snack crumbs when the bag pops
↳ Anon (321F): lmaooooooo
↳ Anon (315F): Head did look a little big tbh lol
↳ Anon (60F) (OP): Excuse me?
↳ Anon (731F): No it didn't you idiots newbie's head is perfectly fine????
↳ Anon (387F): Broth-sipping suspect apprehended.
I read through the comments and let out a small laugh.
"Slurp."
A sip of sweet instant coffee slid down my throat.
"Wow… incredible."
"Wait, what even is this…?"
It was practically euphoric.
This female Death God. Seemed like she'd never tasted sugar before in her life.
I bit into the sausage I'd been warming in the pot, then sank deep into the back of the chair.
"This is genuinely so good."
After finishing off the fried rice too, I surrendered to the fullness and the drowsy warmth settling over my body.
I dangled my feet in the air, swinging them idly, and scrolled through the cheerful comments in the Gallery.
Anon (464F): I'm eating right now too lol
↳ Anon (351F): Wait, you too?
↳ Anon (432F): Everyone post a photo and eat together.
"Hehe."
I was smiling before I even realized it.
A small, quiet happiness.
Right. I'd been trapped in a place like this—but what could I do about it.
I should keep the space to let myself enjoy the little things.
No need to beat myself up for not being able to do that while grinding my brain over optimal efficiency.
Once I parked above floor 100, maybe decades from now, today's four days would look laughably short.
*What was I even in such a rush for, I must've been out of my mind lol.*
Once I cleared floor 100, I'd have access to all the Gallery's information—so no need to be impatient.
Take everything as comfort, catch my breath, and move forward one step at a time.
I hummed to myself.
